GA 2025

On October 10, 2025, the ASPE gathered in the village of Arbaz, in Valais, for its traditional general assembly.

The assembly was preceded by a free continuing education session, attended by 12 of our members. This day, focused on the theme of first aid, was coordinated by our member and local representative François Mathey — mountain guide, certified paramedic ES, and specialized rescuer at Air Glaciers. He was joined by two of his colleagues from Air Glaciers: Anne-Sarah Lavanchy, FMH-certified doctor and member of the GRIMM group, as well as Christophe Berclaz, also a mountain guide and specialized rescuer for OCVS. The training program alternated between theoretical modules and practical workshops, with exercises ranging from splint application to rescue techniques on rock faces. The quality of the training was unanimously praised by all participants.

Thereafter, our general assembly allowed for enriching exchanges, particularly with the new technical director in charge of training climbing instructors for ASGM, Armando Bodeo, who joined live from Las Vegas! The assembly concluded with a speech by Mr. Henry Hess, municipal councilor, who also wrote an article about the event for the local newspaper. The day ended with a pleasant moment of togetherness during the aperitif offered by the municipality of Arbaz.

We hope to see just as many of you at our 2026 general assembly!
