Gipfeltreffen

On May 6th, the annual traditional meeting between members of the ASGM committee and our association took place in Bern, at the premises of the Swiss Alpine Club on Monbijoustrasse.

This fruitful exchange highlighted the willingness to continue constructive collaboration between ASGM and ASPE. Several topics were discussed throughout the session, including:

• The succession of Hanspeter Sigrist as head of the training for climbing instructors.
• The reevaluation and evolution of the training curriculum, aiming to maximize the knowledge and expertise of future candidates for the climbing instructor certification (PE).
• The new revision of ORisque, based on the principle ‘not taught = not authorized,’ in which ASPE is also actively involved.

The session concluded with a shared meal consisting of sandwiches and pastries, taken on the go, as time was limited due to the afternoon being dedicated to interviews with candidates for Hanspeter Sigrist’s succession.
